So, what’s next..

So, what’s next..

Yesterday morning I contacted Zane’s Mom and told her that the quilt was ready. They were so ready to see it that I headed over within 2 hours. I was eager to get it home.

When I arrived, I got out of the car with the quilt and 2 bags of leftover fabric. She immediately said that she was so glad to have leftover fabric because one of the daughters wanted to get something made for the siblings. I knew then that the pillows had been the right idea!

They loved the quilt and pillows. There were lots of tears and hugs. It was lovely.

I came home exhausted from the anticipation, anxiety and emotion. I poured myself a  scotch and sat outside in the sun listening to the river to decompress. I didn’t do anything else yesterday.

Today it’s time to move onto some different projects. I have 3 veterans quilts and 4 to bind.

I can also get the bear quilt top together and finish up a stack of fidget mats for donation. Then I have a stack of patriotic fabrics to cut some more veterans quilt kits.

I have plenty to keep me busy this weekend.

I am so glad that your delivery of that extremely special quilt (and the pillows) was so well received. What a gift you’ve given that family. You deserved to take the rest of that day off!
