Preparing for the drive

Preparing for the drive

We will leave Wednesday and I’m mostly packed because I thought we were leaving Tuesday! 🤣🤣🤣

It’s more than a joke around here that I don’t pay any attention to the calendar. Now I have an extra day and I have an idea of which project I might work on today and tomorrow between errands.

Yesterday I mostly did laundry and packed my clothes but I got my crochet projects together.

This is the latest big blanket project that I just started.  I’ll take this to work on at the condo but I have to have projects for the road. I’m the type of passenger that can drive the driver insane so I need a distraction.

I have 2 projects to work on during the 4 day drive. On the left is a scarf. My.niece gave me this yarn last summer. 2 skeins should make a nice scarf.

The purple will be sized for a wheelchair blanket. But the charity can decide if they prefer it for a baby quilt. I bought this yarn over 4 years ago and I’m glad to finally use it.

Today I  have lunch with Momand my cousin, a couple of errands and a haircut but I should have a little sewing time too.

The different stitches you are using make those crochet projects so interesting and pretty. Safe travels!!

The crochet projects are pretty – and great for a long car ride. I don’t think I could do 4 days in a car! I drove to western MA recently which was a 2 day drive. Too long for me! If I remember correctly, you’re going to AZ? I’m jealous. It’s such a beautiful state. Have a great vacation and safe travels.

I’m Vicki

I’m Vicki Welsh and I’ve been making things as long as I can remember. I used to be a garment maker but transitioned to quilts about 20 years ago. Currently I’m into fabric dyeing, quilting, Zentangle, fabric postcards, fused glass and mosaic. I document my adventures here.
