Why did I wait so long?

Yesterday I had some time to cut out the Eclipse Scraps quilt.

If you look at the dark blue you will see that I decided on version 1, the on point one.

I’m motivated to get this put together quickly so I can get the cutting table cleared and start on the memory quilt.

I even had some time to sit and sew a bit. Why did I wait so long to replace my old machine? I realized that I’ve actually been avoiding sewing because of the challenges with that machine. The new one is fabulous.

I think this quilt will come together pretty quickly.

Yesterday,  I also ran by Kim’s and picked up her scrap box from her Christmas quilt.  I’m going to use some of these for one of my Christmas card designs.

Today I don’t have to go anywhere! I hope to get 2 veterans quilts loaded and to do a lot of piecing on the Eclipse Scraps quilt.

Kind of like waiting to change a rotary cutter blade or machine needle…..why wait until the struggle gets so bad? So glad you are loving your new machine!

like the commenter above – compare to a rotary blade – why do I wait so long to change it out. Hope the new machine continues to be your favorite toy

I know that I was so happy when I got that model machine. I am still happy with it. I have another machine that cost more, but I only use it when I need something besides a straight stitch. Plus it is a marvelous machine for free motion quilting on a domestic.
Oh yes, and I rarely have any trouble with specialty threads (like metallic.)
