Veterans quilts finished!

Yesterday was another errand day. In the afternoon, I needed to get started on binding, but I had a major procrastination session.

It’s not that I mind the actual binding so much. It’s the joining of the binding that I don’t like.

Why?

I don’t know.

Eventually, I convinced myself to sit down and just join the binding for the 2 veterans quilts. Of course, once I was engaged and had my audiobook going, I  got both quilts bound.

This is probably the 4th or 5th string pieced diamond quilt I’ve made. I didn’t love this one until I got the binding on. It needed that black frame. The blocks are 8″ x 10″. Six blocks across and down maked a perfect 48″ x 60″ quilt.

I really,  really love this quilt. The batiks scraps are from a project that I made a few years ago. The pattern is called Crossroads and is from the book Colorful Quilts For Fabric Lovers by Amy Walsh and Janine Burke. That book is one of my favorites. This quilt came together quickly. I know I’ll make it again.

Today, I’ll try to get the binding on the houses quilt.

I don’t enjoy binding either – but it won’t magically get done will it

I have a quilt that has been sitting for a while that needs binding. I just need to get started and it will be done quickly.

Some days I don’t mind binding and others I just want the project done at that point and wish the binding fairy would appear! I’m still in love with your brown quilt.

MA here….still not getting comments to show as being me so don’t know what’s going on. At any rate, I must say I do love that brown quilt despite the fact that I’m not normally a huge fan of brown.
