One veterans top finished

Yesterday’s main accomplishment was getting this veterans top done. I also brought home two more tops from other quilters. That means that I need to get some quilt backs dyed this weekend.

I also got all of the batik squares pieced. I’ll get them on the design wall this weekend and get the blocks stacked in rows, ready to sew together.

I’ll miss sewing days in October, so I might go ahead and put this one together.

Another beautiful string quilt! So cheery and colorful with your hand dyed fabrics! Some lucky veteran will be very pleased to receive this. Do you piece these on a foundation?

You are certainly moving right along with those. I see that Kristen asked if you pieced the string quilt on a foundation. I wondered the same thing. I have pieced them on paper in the past.

Strings always make a nice quilt, for sure.
