Eclipse progress

I’m slowly making progress on Eclipse. Yesterday, I got the rest of the D blocks added to the C blocks.

It goes a little slow because I remove paper as I go. Once an area is blocked in, I remove the paper. Those dark blue pieces on the edge were “large” pieces and didn’t have paper backing. I don’t worry about small bits of paper that remain stuck with glue. This newsprint paper will disintegrate inside the quilt.

Just before dinner, I got one more section added. You can’t really tell, but there are actually 2 colorways. No one will ever notice, but I know it and will try to keep the sections organized properly.

I’m marking my progress to keep myself motivated.

I am wondering if the pattern comes with the sections preprinted onto the papers or do you copy them yourself. Either way, it’s fussy having to pick them out.

Wow, that is going to be amazing, just the parts you already have done are stunning! I see a Best of Show ribbon in your future!
