Pillows and quilts

I had a very busy and productive weekend and it set up what I’ll be doing for the next 10 days or so. Last week, Brenda and I were given 14 veterans quilt tops to quilt. I got them all paired with backs and batting. Brenda will quilt this stack of 7  and I got the first 2 of my 7 loaded yesterday for quilting.

Otherwise, I worked on interfacing and cutting squares for the next 11 memory pillows. I got all the icons cut on the Cricut and 3 of those squares done. The plaid were actually the most time consuming because they were individually cut from scrap bits. Each square had to be interfaces individually. Fiddly, but worth it.

I’m going to cut out the rest of the squares and then cut and make the pillow backs. I want to get all the clothing fabric leftovers put away so I can use the cutting table for something else while I sew the pillows.

I have several errands this week but I should have a good bit of sewing time to work on the pillows and quilts. The weather sure isn’t going to invite any outdoor activities.
