First veterans quilts of 2026

My goal is to quilt 6 or 8 veterans quilts before we leave Tuesday. I’ve finished these 2 and have 2 more loaded.

I don’t remember who made this one but I like it a lot. We had a 9-patch block exchange last year with large 9-patch blocks.  I’m not positive, but I think this is one of them.

I know this one is from the exchange because my Mom made it. The red centers tie it c all together nicely.

We’re still having a great timely with our visitors so I’m not quite as productive as usual. It’s also time to start packing for our trip and the first job is always the sewing stuff. That starts today.

The block exchange blocks all had red centers, so I think the on-point quilt must not be exchange blocks. Both of those look great!

I see you have your priorities in order just like I did, sewing stuff first, LOL.

I think we all agree, packing the sewing projects first is mandatory.

Interesting how the different settings make such a difference in the overall look.
