More veterans quilts

The first half of yesterday was spent with Mom at her eye doctors appointment.  She is healing well from her surgery and will start doing a little bit of driving now.

My next postcard idea is coming together but isn’t ready for production yet so I spent the afternoon quilting veterans quilts. I got one done, just one more to go.

I’ll probably have more tops this weekend. We have quilt club sewing days today and tomorrow.  There are always a few new veterans quilt tops finished during this time. I’m starting a new top today. I’m not confident with how this one will look but I’ll give it a try.

I really like the blue veteran quilt with the different colored rectangles in the middle of each block. Have fun at quilt group!

I am glad to hear that your Mom’s eye is doing well. Such a big deal to get to drive again!

your group makes so many veterans quilts you must have a lot of vets in your area or do you send them other places as well as using them local?

For me, that is the fun of a new project, seeing if it will work out with the chosen fabrics.

I am glad to hear that your mom is healing well after the eye surgery.

I can’t imagine a quilt with those lovely fabrics not looking good.

Glad to hear your Mom is healing well and can continue to drive. The collection of quilts for veterans is growing. Wonder if you’ll surpass last year’s total.
