It was a good weekend around here. The weather was very nice and it got so windy Sunday that it took care of a lot of leaves. The end of leaf blowing season is in sight. Tree cutting season will start soon. It’s a lot of work trying to tame a jungle.

I started the creative part of my weekend by quilting one veterans quilt. I intended to quilt the other one yesterday but watched football instead. I’ll get this one done today.

The big news was getting the first set of Christmas cards made! I’m really happy with these. I’ll do the borders after all 3 sets are done. There are 25 of these.

I’ve got a couple of ideas for design #2 and I need to settle on something.

I have an eye doctor appointment this morning but will get to quilting after lunch.

that looks like a nice simple design for some of your cards – you tend to move fast once you decide on things

It was so windy here on Sunday! I was driving back from PA and the semi’s were having to slow down because the wind made it hard for them to stay in their lane. I saw several weave and that was unnerving!

I leave the veterans quilt on the frame.
That is a nice start on the Christmas cards. The day after Thanksgiving I willl need to get ou my collection of cards and put them on display.

First set of cards is looking great – somewhat reminiscent of the colours found in The Grinch.
