Back to quilting!

Back to quilting!

Yesterday I had some appointments in the morning but I was excited to get some quilts back on the longarm. It’s been too long! I got these basted and the first row of quilting done.

I uncovered the soap for it to continue to process uncovered for a couple of days. I’ll unmold it all this weekend and then it will sit on a shelf to cure for about 6 weeks.

I ended the day by packing up some stamps, stencils and fabric to take for a little play date today. We’re stamping and painting and I have no idea what I’m going to do. I’m hoping Margaret and Marcy will inspire me!

Here’s a funny thing going on in the garden. I went out a couple of weeks ago and cut all the iris back to neaten them up. All over my yard they are now giving me the middle finger.

Do you keep a schedule for when you need to make soap so you don’t run out since it has to cure for 6 weeks?

That is funny what you said about the Iris! I don’t know how much outside work I will get done this weekend. The humidity has been awful!

Oh, I am howling with laughter this morning over your iris’ response to their haircuts. Too funny! Good think I hadn’t taken a sip of coffee or it would be all over my laptop now.

ha ha – middle finger iris’ – that’s funny.

Curious to know how you baste your quilts – do you use pins or do it by hand?
