A new veterans quilt top

I get together with my quilt club to sew once a month and that time was the last 2 days. We have a great sewing space and we can leave our machines set up overnight. I use that time to work on veterans quilts and this week I got this top made. It’s a pattern that I’ve used often for veterans quilts.

At home, I have finished setting up all of the pages on this site! My old wite at Weebly will be shut down by the end of next week. If you are here, thank you for moving with me!

In the last 2 days I’ve gone out to check out on the baby birds. On the left are Carolina Wrens. They are lucky to be well shaded and protected in the propane tank.

On the right are the Eastern Bluebirds. They are close to fledging and it’s not too soon. Next week it’s going to be blazing hot.

Today I’ll be doing a couple of last tasks related to the Weebly shut down and then I can start cutting out the Eclipse fabrics.

Every time I see that pattern I think I should make one too. I have lots of Kaffe light fabrics all ready for cutting as background. I think it is a pattern that would appeal to everyone.

It looks like a large area of the US will be under the heat dome next week.

I love that veterans quilt top. The birds are looking good too.
I know we will be getting a lot of heat also….I am not looking forward to that. However, we have had excessive rain since the first of May so it will be nice to be dry for a while.

I have seen lots of quilts using this pattern and I always love them. Someday maybe I will make a quilt using it. I was able to get your new blog addy into my feedly following!

That’s a nice quilt pattern. I think there were two or three in our quilt show but don’t think I took a picture of any of them.

Hope you can stay cool! We’re supposed to go into a heat wave starting tomorrow too.
