Crochet and lighting update

Crochet and lighting update

Mom and I dropped our machines off for service yesterday to a new sewing machine repair place. We are quite hopeful. We have not had any good options around here for a long time. The people in this new place were so nice and attentive. I think a lot of sewing machine repair shops have gotten into a routine of doing the same thing to every machine and not listening to the customer. If this shop does the things I asked, it’s going to be awesome. I’ll report back in a couple of weeks.

The new task lights came in today and I have them all set up. This is the one I ordered. I can’t recommend it yet because I don’t know how it’s going to hold up, but I’m really happy with the movement and the light. It ahs 4 different types of light and 4 brightness levels.

I didn’t get any sewing in today so I thought I’d catch up on my other 2 crochet projects. This is the big blanket and it’s about 50″ long. I will finish out this ball for the length and then I’ll use the last ball for the border.

This little cape is coming along well too. I will finish off the light ball for the length and then I’ll use the dark for the edging. Both of these projects should be done by the end of July.

If you are here from my olg blog, welcome! You are invited to offer any suggestions for the new place.

I’ve referenced your tutorial for centering a backing on a quilt and the instructions for stopping a bleeding quilt and it would be nice to have them on your new blog….thank you!

Hmmm – first comment didn’t work (I don’t think?). It wanted me to sign into WordPress which I thought I did, but perhaps not. Will continue to experiment!
