April was a great month for creativity for me. I finished 2 big projects and I think this poncho was the biggest one. I like doing crochet because it’s mostly mindless but this poncho was required a lot of focus and attention. I loved every minutes of it and I can’t wait for an opportunity to wear it next fall/winter.

My other big finish for the month was the Oak Moth quilt. This was another project that was a blast to work on.

I also got 6 veterans quilts quilted.

Finally, I finished this veterans quilt yesterday and I finished the blue shawl a few days ago. Both of these are ready for donation.
My goals for April were:
– finish 2 veterans quilts – finished 1, but have 2 more almost complete
– finish the Oak Moth quilt, including quilting and binding -done!
– quilt 6 veterans quilts – done!
– finish 1 crochet project and continue the poncho and big blanket – I finished 2
– make family beach gifts – I haven’t made them, but I have them planned and have all the supplies
For May my goals are:
– finish 2 veterans quilts
– quilt a large donation quilt for my quilt club
– make family beach gifts
– dye fabric for the new guest room quilt (Eclipse pattern)
– start a symmetry quilt
