2011 Journal Quilts

Journal Quilts were all the rage on the internet and among art quilters after about 2008. The bug hit me in 2011 and I set out (and actually completed) one journal quilt each week for the year. They are 8″ x 10″ and it was a great way to explore techniques and design ideas.

In most cases, they reflect fabrics that I was using in a project that week or a technique I was exploring.

I’m Vicki

I’m Vicki Welsh and I’ve been making things as long as I can remember. I used to be a garment maker but transitioned to quilts about 20 years ago. Currently I’m into fabric dyeing, quilting, Zentangle, fabric postcards, fused glass and mosaic. I document my adventures here.
