Shereen’s Peaceful Garden

Potholders Tutorial

Finished Quilts

2009 was the year I decided to plan for retirement. Mid-2010 was my target and I had to start thinking of what I would do after I quit work. After a lot of deliberation I decided that my hand dyed fabric would become my business so that I could keep quilting for my hobby. This wasn’t a particularly prolific year for finished projects because I was working on several big projects throughout the year that got finished later. I opened my Etsy shop to sell fabric in June.

Three Generations Quilt

This quilt was made from Broken Wheel blocks pieced by my Great Grandmother Flora Texas Goad Rakes. Mom made the quilt and I quilted it. You can see more of Flora’s quilts that we have finished here.

I’m Vicki

I’m Vicki Welsh and I’ve been making things as long as I can remember. I used to be a garment maker but transitioned to quilts about 20 years ago. Currently I’m into fabric dyeing, quilting, Zentangle, fabric postcards, fused glass and mosaic. I document my adventures here.
